Editorial Policy: How We Research and Write Our Pillow Guides

PillowStore is a UK online pillow shop. This page explains how we research, write and update the guides on this site, so you can judge how much to rely on them.

Who writes our guides

Our guides are written by the PillowStore team, based at Tramway Offices, 901 Mellor Street, Rochdale, OL12 6AA. We are a pillow retailer, not a medical or clinical organisation.

How we research

  • Product facts such as fillings, sizes and care come from the product details we hold and from common UK sizing. Where a specification is still to be confirmed with our supplier, we say so.
  • Descriptions of our own products are limited to what is stated on each product page.
  • We explain terms such as loft, firmness, hollowfibre or momme in plain language.

Health-related topics

Some guides touch on health topics such as neck pain, pregnancy, allergies and sleep position. For these we base what we say on guidance from the NHS and recognised UK charities, link to the source where we can, and avoid claiming that a pillow treats or cures anything. Our guides are general information, not medical advice. If you are worried about your health, speak to a GP, pharmacist or midwife.

Our commercial interest

We sell pillows, so some guides show products from our range, and we say so. Where we do not sell something, for example memory foam pillows, dedicated pregnancy pillows or pillowcases, we say that too and still give independent advice.

Reviews

We only show reviews from real customers. We do not buy, invent or edit reviews to change a rating.

Updates and corrections

We review our guides when information changes and update them when we find something out of date. If you spot a mistake, email helppillowstoreuk@gmail.com and we will check it and correct the guide.
